Lalita Sahasranama, Dev Karya Samudyata
देवकार्य-समुद्यता ( Dev Karya Samudyata) stands as the mother divine taken birth only to protect demigods(DEVAS).
Mantra Sadhana & Benefits
In the Brahmanda Purana, it is recounted that Bhandasura overthrew Indra, the leader of the Devas. Bhandasura, along with his Asura army, wreaked havoc across the three realms. Guided by the counsel of Parameshwara/Lord Shiva, Indra initiated a fire ritual. All the devas then sacrificed themselves into this blazing pit. From these flames, the radiant form of Sri Lalita -(Chidgani Kunda Samuta) emerged, embodying the forces of creation(Sri Mata), preservation (Sri Maha Ragni), and destruction (Sri Mat Simhasaneswari). Moved by the devas’ sacrifice, her compassion led them to be reborn with renewed vigor and strength.
The sacred Lalita Sahasranama, specifically the Dev Karya Samudyata, emphasises the Divine Mother’s protection of devas. The Brahmanda Purana describes how the devas sacrificed themselves in a fire ritual to reveal Sri Lalita. This form represents creation, preservation, and destruction. The devas represent our sense organs and our daily activities can be seen as offerings to the divine within us.
