lalita sahasranama SRI MATA

श्री माता (Sri Mata) STANDS AS The Universal Mother—the Mother of All Beings

Mantra Sadhana & Benefits

The name “Sri” means “auspicious,” “prosperous,” and “fortunate.” The name “Mata” means “mother.” Thus, Sri Mata is the Supreme Mother of all mothers. The name “Sri” has a lot of different meanings. She is the mother of Trimurties. It also stands for the eternal Vedas, which makes “Sri Mata (श्रीमाता)” the Mother of the Vedas. “Sri” could also stand for the idea of a chakra, which is a circle or wheel. This would mean that Sri Mata is the mother of all chakras, also called Srichakra or Sri Vidya. She here referred to Tripura Sundari.

In the whole universe, there is a divine truth that can be heard: In every corner of the universe, a simple truth echoes: everyone is born of a mother. we may have lived many lives and had many mothers, there is one mother who transcends all of those lives and mothers called “Sri Mata.” She watches over us and our mothers through every lifetime; she removes our endless sorrows and miseries by offering endless care and love.

श्री माता” mantra has more than one bija akshara. “Sreem” which stands for the true prosperity of the wealth of knowledge given by the Divine Mother “Laxmi”, is one of these bija aksharas. “matre,” means “mother.” In this way, the name “Sri Mata (श्रीमाता)” calls to mind the Universal Mother, or mother of auspiciousness.1

Sri Mata, the Universal Mother, created the universe and represents Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati. In addition, the Divine Mother (Lalita—Compassion)  comforts her  followers in their greatest suffering. She is  bramhan and neither male nor female.

In Hindu philosophy, as outlined in the Taittiriya Upanishad, the Supreme Mother is Brahman, transcending gender binaries. The term “Mata” emphasizes the unity of Shiva and Shakti, the supreme father and mother, as a singular, supreme effulgence, not two separate energies

Practitioners of Sri Vidya and virtually all other devotees of Lalita Tripura Sundari are required to say or chant the mantra “Om Sri Matre Namah” prior to beginning any activity or expressing any feeling that they wish to convey. The only simple mantra that you can use to call her attention is this one.

The ultimate mantra – Om Sri Matre Namah

She is the jagad janani, Mata Parvati, Mata Sati, and Mata Katyayini. She is Jagadambika, Kali, She is everywhere, and she is everything. If you need anything, she is the source, and she is the ultimate destiny as well. She is not like other goddesses, like Yakshini or angels. There are a lot of things in the universe, and we are just a tiny part of them. The entire universe is a very tiny speck for her. Lalita Maa is the universal mother. We can’t bind her with chants or rites; our devotion is the only thing that can melt her. She can stay and live only in a purified heart.2

THE ULTIMATE COMPLETE MANTRA: OM AING HRING SHRING SRI MATRE NAMAH

Humans did not create or write the namas. With the permission of the divine mother, Vak devatas recite the Lalita Sahasranama, and Haya Griva gives it to Agstya Muni. Om is Pranava mantra; Aing is a beejakshar for Vak (speech); Hring is a Buvaneshwari beejakshar; and Shring is a beejakshar for Goddess Laxmi.

Vedic Mantra Wisdom:

It is believed that there are 64 tantras, and the Vamakeshvara Matam3, or Tantra, describes how to invoke them internally and externally with Sri Chakra.People also believe that this tantra is the first to describe how the Sri Chakra forms in Samharakriya. Researchers found Jayaratha’s commentary on Vamakesvara Matam in Kashmir in 1100 AD. Chanting “Om Aing Hring Shring Sri Matre Namah” from the Vamkeshvara Tantra is said to alleviate sadness and worries.
